Learn about Windows Live OneCare WiFi Security
To help better protect home and small business wireless networks, Windows Live OneCare now includes a WiFi Security feature. If not enabled, OneCare prompts you to add the WiFi Security feature. Once added, this can be easily configured for other computers (up to three) in your network.
You must have the following to enable the WiFi Security feature:
- Check to ensure you have a router and firmware supported by OneCare wireless security
- The router must not have wireless security already enabled
- The network zone must be configured as "home" or "work" and not "public"
- The router must be set with the factory logon credentials
- Uninstall third-party software that disables the Windows Wireless Zero Configuration service
